Brenton Parchment
has long been tag as a future West Indies player. He was given the
captaincy of the under 19 team that tour England in 2001. After this
tour fans hope that this would have been the stepping stone for young
Parchment...
...But his development has been
slower than expected, It took him until the 2004/5 season to score his
maiden first class century.
He then went on to cap the
2006/07 season with scores of 111 and 168 with a season average of
60.33 to earn a call-up to the senior team on tour to South
Africa in 2008.
Parchment made his debut in the
third Test which South Africa won by an innings and 100 runs... But
Parchment's contribution was insignifant, he only scored 11 runs.
